Description
The Argofet FET isolator allows charging of two or more batteries from a single alternator or battery charger, without connecting the batteries together. This prevents discharging your starter battery when using accessory loads.
Efficient charging: Unlike diode isolators, FET technology has minimal voltage loss (≤0.02 V at low current, ~0.1 V at high current).
No alternator adjustment needed: Works with standard alternator output; keep cable lengths short and correctly sized.
Example voltage drops: 100 A through 50 mm² × 10 m cable → 0.26 V; 50 A through 10 mm² × 5 m cable → 0.35 V.
Smart energize input: Ensures alternators requiring B+ voltage start properly, even with the isolator in place.
Reliable & robust: Ideal for marine, RV, or off-grid systems where multiple batteries need safe, simultaneous charging.
