Description
The Smart Battery Sense is a wireless voltage and temperature sensor for Victron MPPT Solar Chargers, designed to improve battery charging efficiency and extend battery life.
Optimised Charging
By measuring voltage directly at the battery terminals, Smart Battery Sense eliminates errors caused by cable resistance, ensuring accurate charge voltages. For lead-acid batteries, it adjusts the charge voltage based on temperature—raising it in cold conditions and lowering it when hot. For lithium batteries, it prevents charging at dangerously low temperatures, protecting the cells from permanent damage.
Wireless and Flexible
Smart Battery Sense connects wirelessly to one or more Solar Chargers using the VE.Smart Network, a Bluetooth-based technology. Multiple chargers can share the same battery data on 12V, 24V, or 48V systems. The network is easily configured via the VictronConnect app.
Quick, Simple Installation
Installation is fast and tidy: attach the two eyelets to your battery terminals and secure the sensor to the battery body using the included self-adhesive strip. No extra wiring is required, keeping your system clean and organised.
