Description
The BEP 771-S Pro Installer 400A Selector Battery Switch (MC10) is a high-capacity, professional-grade marine battery selector switch designed to handle high electrical loads. It allows you to select between Battery 1, Battery 2, Both batteries, or Off to isolate your 12V to 48V DC power systems
Key Technical Specifications- Amperage Ratings: 400A Continuous, 600A Intermittent (for 5 minutes), and 1500A Cranking (for 10 seconds
- Voltage Compatibility: 48V DC maximum (optimised for 12V, 24V, and 48V setups)
- Connection Terminals: Three 10mm (3/8″) tinned copper studs providing high conductivity and corrosion resistance
- Ingress Protection: IP66 certified waterproofing, engineered to withstand powerful water jets and heavy marine environments
- Compliance: Tested to UL1107 ignition protection standards, making it safe for gasoline engine room installations.
Design & Installation Features- Flexible Mounting Options: Unlike specialized surface-only options, this standard model supports surface, rear-panel, or front-panel mounting.
- Cable Capacity: The terminal clearance easily accommodates doubled cables for thick wiring runs.
- Removable Protection: Features three removable side plates and a rear cover for total cable insulation and custom routing.
- Drop-In Replacement: Built to match industry-standard footprints (Guest, Perko, Blue Sea) to act as a direct upgrade, explicitly replacing older BEP 721 models.
- Ergonomic Safety: Features an intuitive, user-friendly knob that can be completely removed to isolate your system during servicing. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
Note: As a traditional selector switch, it does not include an Alternator Field Disconnect (AFD) and will not separate delicate electronics from harmful engine starting spikes. -
